How she launched her Career

Deeley stepped into the world of modeling after signing up with the STORM modeling agency. She stayed in this line of work for about two years winning hearts and turning heads. However she was looking for a career where she could express her inner child and bubbly self much better. And that’s when Cat entered into hosting shows. Alongside with Edith Bowman, who still remains a close friend of hers till date she became a UK MTV presenter for about a year. In 1998, she went to audition for ITV to be a presenter on its Saturday morning shows. She pulled of a few friendly harmless pranks on her co presenters Dec and Ant and sure enough got the job. Since then Cat has been a regular face on TV.

The high street British store, Marks & Spencer’s featured Cat on their new television commercial, and she made an appearance in the BBC series” Happiness”.

Among them, mentions can be made of programmes like The 2004 Brit awards, Fame Academy, Stars in their Eyes, The record of the year, Road tripping etc. She was the presenter in 2006 & 2007 for Fox’s New Year Special live from Times Square. During the same year Deeley took up the offer to host the second season of America’s reality show “So you think you can dance” on account of Lauren Sanchez (the original presenter) being pregnant.

Cat interviewed Kylie Monogue for a special Television broadcast that aired in the United Kingdom and Australia.

In addition, Cat made guest appearances on a number of shows like TFI Friday, Say pants to poverty along with David Beckham, Robbie Williams etc, An audience with Ricky martin and NBC’s Tonight Show. She reported and provided live coverage from various famous award shows like the Academy, Grammy and Golden Globe Awards. The British coverage of the sixth season of American Idol for ITV2 was covered by Cat. Many people however could not understand her role and saw her as unnecessary. She laid emphasis on filming the contestants who were eliminated for UK audiences and segments and interviews with guest celebrities. She may not be included in the seventh season, which airs in 2008.

Not only were her advertisements limited to the UK market but also were aired in Ireland. Cat was the main model used in advertising Shape Water and was one of the models used for Garnier Fructis products. She was also among one of the celebrity speakers at the “Concert for Diana” held in 2007 at the Wimbley Stadium. This event was held in the memory of the beloved princess and well watched by at least 500 million viewers worldwide. Cat has a face & body that has been photographed in endless men’s magazine. Not having posed in the nude, Cat has confirmed that she may one day pose for Playboy if they offered her enough for it. In one unfortunate accident, Cat’s dress strap opened and fell in between one of her interviews revealing one of her breasts to the public. The ever quick media had photographs sure had the image stored in their cameras.
